On Thursday 11th June 2009, the 2006 built CAN flag anchor handling supply vessel MAERSK DETECTOR towing the 1984 built semi-submersible oil rig NOBLE HOMER FERRINGTON was photographed from the air by MALTA SHIP PHOTOS offshore Malta heading to the rig area off Marsaxlokk Harbour, Malta.

MAERSK DETECTOR was built in 2006 by Astilleros y Servicios Navales Ltd (ASENAV) at Santiago, Chile with a length overall of 90 metres and 21 metres beam. Her deadweight is 4,029 tons while home port is Saint John, flagged at Canada.

NOBLE HOMER FERRINGTON was built in 1984 by Vyborg Shipyard at Shipyard, Russia as SHELF 4 until 1998 and NOBLE SHELF 4 until 1999.
