Solstad Offshore has sold seven older vessels for green recycling in Norway (Green Yard Feda and Green Yard Kleven) as part of the company’s rescue plan, which involves a divestment of 37 ships.

The seven vessels are – FAR SOVEREIGN built by Langsten Slip & Batbyggeri, Norway as yard number 122 in 1999. Homeport is Alesund (NOR Flag), 85 metre loa with 4,418 GRT.

Berthed at Medserv Base, Marsaxlokk Harbour, Malta back to 22nd September, 2004.

ii) FAR STRIDER built by Kvaerner Govan, Glasgow in Scotland in 1999. With 82.85 metres loa and 19 metres as beam with 3,009 GRT. She was laid up

iii) NORMAND ATLANTIC built by Ulstein Mek, Ulsteinvik, Norway in 1997. With 80 metres loa and 18 metres as beam with 3,690 GRT.

Leaving Aberdeen, UK on 27th June, 2013.

iv) NORMAND NEPTUN built by Ulstein Mek, Ulsteinvik, Norway in 1996. With 80 metres loa and 18 metres as beam with 3,663 GRT.

v) NORMAND BORG built by Langsten Slip & Batbyggeri, Norway as yard number 184 in 2000. Homeport is Skudeneshavn (NOR Flag), 80 metre loa with 3,154 GRT.

vi) SEA POLLOCK built by Cochin Shipyard, India in 2008. Homeport is Limassol (CYP Flag), 71.9 metre loa with 3,250 GRT.

vii) SEA TIGER built by Kværner Kleven, Leirvik, Norway as yard 278 in 1998. She was built as the MAERSK DISPATCHER for Maersk from 1998 to November 2003, then to Tidewater as RAY J HOPE until 28th February, 2006.
