The 1975 built offshore tug/supply ship EAS called at Valletta, Malta from Friday 8 th to Wednesday 13 th November for bunkers and stores and even with sheltering from rough weather on her way to Mauretania, West Africa from Limassol, Cyprus.

She was built in Germany at Husumer Dock & Repairs at Husum as the Norwegian EDDA SUN until 1979. Then she was sailing under Seaforth’s colours as the SEAFORTH WARRIOR both in the North Sea and in Canada. Then in 1983 she was acquired by the Royal Navy commissioned in 1984 as HMS SENTINEL P 246 , a Fisheries Patrol Ship and paid off in 1992. She was sold in 1993 and renamed as GECO SAPPHIRE until 18th February, 2003 and was sold again to EDT towage her current owner who renamed her as EDT PROTEA until March 2003 and renamed to her current name as EAS.

This is not her first time at Valletta as EAS.
