On Sunday 27th December, 2020 the 156.9m long Offshore Construction Vessel (OCV) CONNECTOR entered Grand Harbour, Malta at 0727 hrs coming from Moss, Norway berthing at Pinto 1/2 wharves.
She was last here in Malta berthed at Pinto 4 and 5 wharves part of Valletta Cruise Port on Wednesday 14th October for an 8 hour mobilising stay.
She was built in 2011 by Vard Soknes at Sovik, Norway as AMC CONNECTOR trading until May 2012 where she was purchased by EMAS and renamed LEWEK CONNECTOR trading until January 2018 where she was sold and renamed CONNECTOR. She’s an ultra deepwater multipurpose, flex-lay Subsea Construction vessel/DP3 and a design of STX OSCV 06L. She features 2 Subsea NOV cranes (400mt/100 mt capacity) –

She also has an MDL-TTS-4/310-01 Subsea Tensioner –
She has accommodation capacity for 140 personnel with 2,100m2 deck area. The vessel is equipped for subsea installation in harsh environments and can operate down to 3,000 meters water depth. The vessel is outfitted with DP3 technology for operations in harsh environments.

She left Grand Harbour on Monday 28th December, 2020 at 0730 hrs bound to Chiwan Port in China which is used by ships for crew changes, especially container ships, bulk carriers, OSVs – offshore supply and support vessels and off shore craft involved in the exploration of oil in the South China Sea, arriving on 25th January, 2021.
