One of the Norwegian built offshore vessels was the 1977 built Diving Maintenance Support Vessel THE PERFORMER.

She was built by Nylands Verksted in Oslo, Norway with yard number 784 as the ARCTIC SEAL with red hull trading until January 1987, then as V.S.O PERFORMER until 1989; VSO PERFORMER for few months and with her current name THE PERFORMER until September 2010 with Ocean Systems Engineering Inc.

She called twice at Grand Harbour, Malta on Wednesday 17th April, 2002 as per images and also on Friday 27th December,2002 berthing at Pinto 3 Wharf, part of VISET now Valletta Cruise Port.

She was 96.04 metres long with 19.97 metres beam and maximum draft of 6.30 metres. She had 4 x Bergen Diesel Engines, 2 shafts , 6,000hp and 2 x Brunvoll Bow Thrusters (1,025 HP each) and 2 x Brunvoll Stern Thrusters with DP2 Class. She had 1 main crane of SWL 25 tons and 1 auxiliary crane SWL 5 tons.
