On Friday 15th July the 1974 built ITA flag and owned 40.70 m barge BENEDETTA towed by the 1992 built ITA flag and owned tug PAUL which is a familiar tug in our territorial waters arrived off Grand Harbour (OGH) to be handed over to local tugs for drydocking at Dock 4.

BENEDETTA was built in Genova, Italy with 40.70 m loa, 30.60m as beam and draft of 21.90m and is used for Caissons, Marine Works etc of which she has a GRT of 601.99 ts. She’s owned by Grandi Lavori Fincosit SpA, with their main office at Rome, Italy.

During the first week of August she was spotted berthed at Somerset Wharf with a cleaned hull.

On Thursday 11th August she was towed out by the 1976 built tug PIEMONTE to Bari, Italy and passed breakwaters at 0916 hrs.
