The 2008 built Trailing Suction Hopper Dredger (TSHD) BREYDEL called at Grand Harbour, Malta on Thursday 10th June passing breakwaters at 1621 hrs coming from Abu Qir, Egypt.

She berthed Port Side alongside Parlatorio Wharf and the following day on Friday 11th June at 0930 hrs she shifted 20 metres ahead assisted by tugboat SPINOLA.

She was built by IHC Dredgers in the Netherlands in 2008 with 121.5 m length and beam of 28 metres and loaded draft of 9.05 metres. She has 1 dredging pipe with a diameter of 1.2 metres, dredging depth of 43 metres while her suction volume is 9000 m³.

Whilst berthed at Parlatorio Wharf she was seen dismantling her dredging pipes and equipment for refit. Below images are from Monday 14th June –

On Wednesday 16th June, she was spotted drydocked at Dock 4.

On Wednesday 14th July she ordered pilot and 2 tugs to shift from Dock 4 toward Parlatorio Wharf of which the move was completed by 1615 hrs.

She shifted back to Parlatorio Wharf 12 days later and on Tuesday 27th she performed Trailing Drag Head trials while berthed – see below images –

On Wednesday 28th July she was off Grand Harbour for sea trials and left forever on Saturday 31st July at 1930 hours bound to Abu Qir, Egypt once again via a stop at Souda, Crete.
