One of the South Korean built ships trading around the world is the Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) carrier NAVIGATOR LEO called at Palumbo Malta Shipyard for essential repairs and upgrades on Tuesday 21st May, 2024 passing breakwaters at 0947 hrs and berthing at Parlatorio Wharf.
She was built at Hyundai Mipo Dockyard Co Ltd as yard number 8068 with keel laid on 13th May, 2011, launched 2 months later on 5th July and completed on 27th September, 2011. Her contract date was 26th February, 2010.
After few days she shifted for drydocking at Dock no 5 for repairs and upgrades to her surveys including Main Class Annual, Lifting Appliances, Bottom Complete Survey, Tailshaft Monitoring Annual, Auxiliary Boiler System, Periodically unattended machinery space annual, Loading computer annual, Load line annual, Safety construction annual, Safety equipment annual, Safety radio periodical, Liquefied gases in bulk annual, Oil pollution prevention, type A annual, Noxious liquids annual, Air pollution prevention annual, Ballast water management annual and Ballast water management certificate – treatment method annual as per her class.
No overdue conditions were found.
She left Valletta on Sunday 16th June, 2024 bound to Kalamata, Greece at 0823 hrs.
