On Wednesday 24th July, 2019 at 1144 hrs the Royal Fleet Auxiliary (RFA) Wave Class Fleet Tanker RFA WAVE KNIGHT A 389 entered Valletta for the first time assisted by local tugs LIENI and SEA SALVOR after she was cleared to enter both from authorities and from the chemist that tested the vessel as Gas Free.

She arrived off Valletta on Monday 22nd July early afternoon of which she conducted a conveyance service with the local workboat SWIFT (a former pilot launch with the Admiralty). Then she stayed drifting up and down awaiting orders.

Vessel berthed starboard side alongside to Parlatorio Wharf and since then French Creek was closed for security reasons.

Vessel left on Thursday 1 st August at 1502 hrs assisted by 2 tugs bound to the Middle East.
