On Saturday 27th August, 2022 the 2006 built LBR flag chemical/oil products tanker CHEMTRANS LEO left Marsaxlokk Harbour bound to Palumbo Malta Shipyard Ltd towed by tugboat SENGLEA. Upon approaching off Grand Harbour, tugs PAWLINA and SEA SALVOR assisted her to berth at Parlatorio Wharf.
CHEMTRANS LEO was built in South Korea by Hyundai Mipo Dockyard Co Ltd in Ulsan for Capital Shipmanagement, Greece named as AGISILAOS delivered August 16th, 2006 trading until 2021 where she was sold and renamed as SEAWAYS CAPE HORN and then CHEMTRANS LEO. She’s double hull with American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) class society.
She left on Saturday 24th September on the completion of an Aframax tanker departure from Dock no 6.
