On Thursday 30th December, 2021 late morning the 2015 built tanker STENA IMPERIAL entered Grand Harbour, Malta bound to Palumbo Malta Shipyard Ltd berthing starboard side alongside Parlatorio Wharf assisted by 2 local tugs.
She was built in China by Guangzhou International Shipyard at Guangzhou as double hull oil tanker entering service on 1st July 2015 with 49,750 deadweight (dwt) tons with 183 metres length and 32 metres beam.
On Friday 31st December, 2021 she ordered pilot and tugs for 1200 hrs to leave with her fresh homeport – Valletta with MLT flag. Despite of the COVID-19 Pandemic Transport Malta managed to do the flag change within 24 hours since she entered for flag change (was homeported at London (GBR Flag).
