The 2009 built anchor handling tug CENTAURUS towing a semi submersible drilling rig (ssdr) from the Atlantic Ocean towards Aliaga, Turkey passed by Malta on her way to the breakers.
She was built in Germany under the same name by Mutzelfeldtwerft Nord at Cuxhaven for the German owners Harms Salvage, Transport and Heavylift GmbH & Co. KG of which in 2018 it was liquidated and all units were sold
In fact the last call of her within territorial waters (wtw) goes back to 28th February 2015 where she performed a crew change while towing the Mammoet barge MSB 3301.
During this tow she entered Gibraltar for Uplifting Bunkers on Tuesday 15th August for 9 hours.
