A former standby/safety vessel that was converted into a research/Survey vessels was the ATLANTIC SURVEYOR.

She was built in the Netherlands in 1972 at Amels Holland in Makkum as the Buoy Tender BREEVEERTIEN for the Dutch Government with yard no 324. She was acquired in 1997 and renamed as TELCO BALTIC trading until November 2004 as a standby/safety vessel. She was sold again and bought by Vroon Offshore Services where she was renamed as VOS BALTIC trading until June 2011. Then she was acquired by Atlantic Marine & Aviation, UK and renamed ATLANTIC SURVEYOR homeported in Monrovia with Liberia (LBR) Flag.

On Friday 30th December, 2016 she entered Grand Harbour, Malta berthing at Pinto 5 Wharf part of Valletta Cruise Port for uplifting bunkers together with provisions before heading to the Greek Waters.

She was last seen berthed at Heraklion, Greece back to July 2019.
