One of the converted fishing vessels that used to be around was the 1972 built BERGEN SURVEYOR.

Above and timeline image is back to April, 2011 while leaving Aberdeen, Scotland.

She was built in 1972 in Lowestoft (United Kingdom) by Brooke Marine as the fishing trawler SUB SURVEYOR I with red hull trading until 1982.  . In 1982, she was transformed for the first time, refitted and equipped as diving support vessel for subsea maintenance works on the offshore facilities and renamed as SUB SURVEYOR trading until January 1984, renamed KELT for few days and sold again and renamed BERGEN SURVEYOR.

In 1997, she was converted to seismic research vessel and lengthened from 61 to 66 m; she was later upgraded in 2006.  Used to be owned by Geofield Ship Management Services (France). In December 2016, she was announced sold for demolition.

Above images goes back to September, 2011 where she was berthed at Pinto 1 Wharf, part of Valletta Cruise Port.
