One of the Polish built vessels for the Soviet Union was the Skulptor Konenkov Class known as B-481 project . She was built by  Stocznia Gdanska, Gdansk, Poland as yard number B481/10 for Baltic Shipping Co, USSR.

She was sold to Ignazio Messina, Italy in 1996 and renamed JOLLY GIALLO, sold again and renamed SCAN CARRIER in 2004 until 2006, CARMANIA EXPRESS from 2006 to 2007,  KJELL SVERRE for few months during 2007 and finally CARMANIA EXPRESS again in 2007.

With 181.90 metres length (loa) and 28.24 metres beam she had the capacity to carry 772 TEU’s and 230 cars powered by 2 Vee Oil 16 Cylinder Zut Skoda engines geared to schaft of 20,800 bhp giving her cruising speed of 20.5 knots.

She was one of the ships that had double reinforced accommodation block used by the USSR Committee for State Security – KGB since she was a Soviet Navy Auxiliary Ship too.

While she was owned by Valiant Shipping S.A. and  operated by Malta Motorways of the Sea (MMOS) she was seen in Valletta, Malta back in 2010.

She was sold to Rajendra Shipbreakers arriving at Alang, India for demolition on 11th February, 2011 and beached 8 days later.
