In occupied Crimea, the large Russian Navy RFS KOMMUNA which has been moored in Striletska Bay , Sevastopol for a number of years was hit in the upper wheelhouse by Ukrainian Defence Forces with an R-360 Neptune missile.
The governor of Sevastopol reported that an anti-ship missile had been repelled in Sevatopol and that “fragments caused a small fire, which was quickly extinguished”.
RFS KOMMUNA is the world’s oldest active duty naval vessel. With catamaran hull she was laid down at the Putilov Factory (now the Kirov Factory in St. Petersburg in November 1912 as VOLKHOV, The ship was launched the following year on 17th November 1913, and commissioned on 14th July 1915. On 31st December 1922, she was renamed KOMMUNA
