Ukraine continues to report a string of successes against the Russian Navy. According to the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, a minesweeper was destroyed during the night of May 18-19 as part of its attacks on occupied Crimea.

The Russian Black Sea fleet Project 266M or Natya Class ocean minesweeper is the RFS KOVROVETS that was commissioned in December 1974.

On another note Natya Class minesweepers were seen in Malta with Libyan Navy (Gaddafi Regime) calling at Malta Drydocks (MDD) for repairs and with the Indian Navy during 70’s and 80’s.
