Ukraine continues to report a string of successes against the Russian Navy. According to the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, a minesweeper was destroyed during the night of May 18-19 as part of its attacks on occupied Crimea.
The Russian Black Sea fleet Project 266M or Natya Class ocean minesweeper is the RFS KOVROVETS that was commissioned in December 1974.
On another note Natya Class minesweepers were seen in Malta with Libyan Navy (Gaddafi Regime) calling at Malta Drydocks (MDD) for repairs and with the Indian Navy during 70’s and 80’s.

Meanwhile few hours later another ship was configured as a submarine. This involved a significant missile strike on the Russian Navy Project 22800 Karakurt Class missile corvette named RFS TSIKLON (CYCLON) , which was only commissioned in 2023 and killed 6 with 11 injured with 3 ATACMS missiles that reportedly hit the pier in Sevastopol where the corvette was moored, causing her to sink.
