Metal waste is exported in Malta and from time to time, ships call at Grand Harbour, Malta berthing at Laboratory Wharf South 2 for loading scrap iron bound to Turkey.
Today, Monday 21st October the 96 metre long (loa) general cargo ship HABIBE ANA left Valletta after loaded scrap iron.
She entered Grand Harbour last Tuesday 15th October from Pozzallo, Sicily passing breakwaters at 1040 hrs.
She was built in Russia by Krasnoye Sormovo Shipyard at Nizhniy Novgorod in 1994 as LAVA until January 2003, ERMAK trading until September 2010 and Taganrog homeported (RUS Flag) CASPIAN WIND and renamed to her current name since April 2017.

She left today passing breakwaters at 1523 hrs bound to Nemrut, Turkey.
