On Thursday 21st November, 2024 the 1969 built Migrants Rescue Ship SEA PUNK I left Porto Xiphonio at Augusta, Sicily bound to Lampedusa of which strong weather conditions were in force.

On Friday 22nd November around 1056 hrs she was contacted by Valletta VTS that she had no permission to enter territorial waters as she was nearest western Gozo.

Later on around 1118 hrs she was given permission to enter within territorial waters (wtw) and shelter.

Later on she shifted towards Xrobb L-Ghagin Bay for more sheltering with Valletta VTS advising her that she have permission from Harbour Master to remain there but No permission to disembark anyone.

With wind veering once again to North Easterly, she shifted towards Anchor Bay on Saturday 23 rd November.

 

During Q3 of this year she was seen at MMH Facilities for Hull Cleaning/Repairs etc.

And later today Monday 25th November she heaved up anchors and proceeded to Lampedusa
