According to Teekay on 12th September, 2019 it was announced that Teekay have won the “Shipping Company of the Year” award at the International Seafarers’ Welfare awards. The ceremony was held on September 11th as part of the London International Shipping week.

Teekay were initially shortlisted by a team of expert advisers to the top 5 in July and were finally selected as the winner by a panel of independent seafarers. The award speaks volumes about the seafarers who provide support to one another on a daily basis and the commitment from the ship teams to our seafarers.
