The 2005 South Korean built crude oil tanker NS CONCEPT departed Venezuela late January with half a million barrels of oil for Houston, USA arriving on the 3rd February and few days after sanctions on Venezuela’s state owned oil firm PDVSA were placed. After spending 6 days in Houston, the tanker has been unable to discharge the oil as a result and departed back out into the Gulf of Mexico.
She was built at the Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) at Ulsan in South Korea homeported at Monrovia in Liberia (LBR). IMO: 9299707; 244 m; 57,248 GRT.
