The 1957 built TUN (Tunisian) flag and owned tugboat HERGLA 3 was spotted at Valletta’s Grand Harbour , Malta on Thursday 23rd May, 2019.
She was launched on 27th November 1956 in the Netherlands by Scheepsbouwwerf De Hoop NV at their shipyard at Hardinxveld as Yard Number 549 and on 16th May, 1957 she was delivered to “SHV – Steenkolen Handelsvereeniging NV” at Utrecht as FREDERIK HENDRIK until 1971.
During September 1971 she was renamed EVERTSEN of which during 1975 she was re-engined with a diesel 4t 9cyl Stork-Werkspoor type 9FCHD.240r (nr.70178), 1425bhp-1048kW and on 1st November 1983 she was delivered to BV Bergings- en Transportbedrijf Van den Akker” at Vlissingen homeported at Vlissingen with O.N. 25149, call sign PEAE, 134 GRT, 40 NRT until September 2000. She traded as SEA NOSTROMO PRIMERO until 2004 where she was sold to Sea Nostromo Sl at San Javier, Spain homeported at Cartagena with O.N. as 1a-CT-4-1-01 and callsign as EBUA used for tuna farming by “Grupo Antalba” (Joaquin Albaladejo López) at San Javier.
On 5th August 2004 she towed the Spanish Navy submarine ESPS DELFIN S 61 to Cartagena as a museum ship.
And in 2016 she was sold to Tuna Farms of Tunisia and renamed HERGLA 3. She’s part of the BlueFin Tuna (BFT) Season 2019.
