During March 2022 the Italian tugboat GIOVANNI BALISTRERI was sold to Nigerian interests.
She was built in Italy in July 1980 by Cantiere Navali Giorgetti in Viareggio as MULETTO with yard number 29 for the Augusta company Augustea Imprese Marittime E Di Salvataggi SpA working as a harbour tug at Messina.
With 27.62 metres length and 7.3 metres beam she had a bollard pull of 20 knots, single screw tug with pitch propeller in Kort Nozzle with 1,200 BHP. Later on she was moved to Augusta and renamed with her current name in 2015. She was owned by Rimorchiatori Rigenoil, part of Rimorchiatori Riuniti ( RR ) Group that carries out maritime services and from 2020 involved in yokohama fenders for ship to ship (sts) operations.
