On Friday 5th November, 2021 the 1993 built cruise liner VASCO DA GAMA entered Grand Harbour, Malta on a foggy morning during her maiden call with Nicko Cruises at 0709 hrs coming from Syracuse, Sicily.

She was built by Fincantieri at Trieste, Italy as the Holland America Line STATENDAM trading until 2015. She was acquired by P&O Cruises Australia and renamed PACIFIC EDEN trading until 2019. Acquired again this time by Cruise & Maritime Voyages (CMV) for few months and renamed VASCO DA GAMA. Then in 2020 she was acquired by Mystic Invest and operated by Nicko Cruises.

Berthed at Pinto 1 and 2 wharves she stayed overnight with turnaround schedule.

She left Valletta on Saturday 6th November at 1852 hrs bound to Syracuse, Sicily of which she arrived on Sunday 7th November at 0725 hrs and left at 1710 hrs bound to Palermo of which she arrived today at 0742 hrs.
