The cruise industry is a major player in the global tourism industry, and it continues to grow year after year of which Valletta Cruise Port (VCP) looks forward to an excellent 2024. Valletta Cruise Port has announced an exceptional 2023, recording close to 900,000 passenger movements, an impressive increase of more than 65 percent over 2022, which compares very well with 2019 which was a record year.
On Tuesday 21st March two cruise liners berthed at the same berth – Pinto 1 and 2 wharf for few hours. The first one was the 1999 built liner VOYAGER OF THE SEAS that passed breakwaters at 0712 hrs berthing port side alongside.
With 2 Harbour pilots embarked, one of them a junior pilot, she passed breakwaters at 1825 hrs bound to Rhodes, Greece.

Following her was also a 1999 built liner and Finnish built – EUROPA homeported at Valletta (MLT Flag) which passed breakwaters at 1844 hrs exchanging berth with the above liner.
Her purpose of call was crew change and after 4 hours she left , passing breakwaters at 2242 hrs bound to Croatia.
