Valletta Cruise Port plc (formerly VISET Malta plc) is a limited liability company which took over the cruise and ferry terminal operations following an international tender issued by the Government of Malta in 1996. Valletta Cruise Port was awarded the project and the formal agreement was signed on the 23rd of November 2001. Valletta Cruise Port, a subsidiary of Global Ports Holding, had the opportunity to meet industry professionals and discuss future prospects. According to figures shared by the Cruise Line International Association (CLIA) 28.5 million guests cruised in 2018, a 7% increase over 2017, with the Mediterranean region moving up in popularity by 8% from 2017 to 2018 in terms of sailings.
