From 0525 to 1127 hrs the 1999 built PRT flag ro/ro ship PAULINE RUSS was at Valletta berthed at Dwq 4. IMO : 9198989; 155m; 10,488 GRT.

At 0647 hrs the 2013 built NLD flag general cargo ship INDUSTRIAL MERCHANT shifted at Valletta from Boiler Wharf to Dwq 1. IMO: 9534470; 116 m; 6,693 GRT

At 0725 hrs the 2014 built MLT flag container ship MSC AZOV entered Valletta bound to Palumbo Malta Shipyard Ltd Dock 6. IMO : 9605255; 300m; 94,402 GRT.

At 1019 hrs the 2018 built NLD flag Eurocarrier 2611 Multicat NP 480 entered Valletta coming from Brest, France and berthed at Pinto 3 Wharf. IMO: 9839961; 26m; 255 GRT.

From 1424 to 2011 hrs the 2010 built ITA flag ropax EUROCARGO GENOVA was at Valletta berthed at Laboratory Wharf. IMO: 9458951; 200m; 32,467 GRT.

At 1434 hrs the 1975 built MLT flag and owned split hopper barge BEZZ I equipped with sewage water treatment equipment entered Valletta coming from Marsaxlokk Harbour with the LNG FSU.

Tuesday 8th January, 2019.

At 0642 hrs the 1982 built CW flag semi submersible heavy load carrier SUPER SERVANT 4 entered Valletta coming from Palma Di Majorca loaded with a sailing yacht and motor yacht to berth alongside 2 barges HULL 137 and HULL 175 provided by Palumbo Malta Shipyard Ltd to submerge over 13.6 metres away from Magazine Wharf to load the 95 metre superyacht NEOM formerly INDIAN EMPRESS during a Sevenstar Yacht Operation.

At 0830 hrs the 1994 built ITA flag ropax EUROFERRY EGNAZIA left Valletta from Palumbo Malta Shipyard Ltd Dock 4 bound to Catania, Sicily. IMO : 9010151; 183m; 33,588 GRT. Photos below are of the vessel entering Catania, Sicily back to 10th May 2018.

The 2017 built MLT flag cruise liner MSC MERAVIGLIA scheduled port of call at Valletta was cancelled due to weather conditions. IMO : 9760512; 316m; 171,598 GRT

At 0833 hrs the 1967 built GBR fish carrier SALMO SALAR entered Valletta berthing at Gun Wharf. IMO: 6704919; 35m; 206 GRT. Former Names – STALSKJELL until 1981; LOSTAR until 1982 and STRILKYST until 1983.

At 1102 hrs the 2011 built MHL flag bunkering tanker OLVIA entered Valletta berthing at Pinto 4 Wharf. IMO:9523469; 100 m; 5,034 GRT.

At 1300 hrs the 2000 built MLT flag superyacht NEOM with the help of tugboats LIENI and SEA SALVOR started the shifting from her moorings at the Grand Harbour Marina towards the submerged heavy load carrier SUPER SERVANT 4.

At 1950 hrs the 2003 built PAN flag cement carrier NACC SIRIOS left Valletta from Laboratory Wharf.

At 2115 hrs the 2010 built MLT flag and owned High Speed Craft JEAN DE LA VALETTE left Valletta bound to Pozzallo, Sicily cause of weather conditions.

At 2130 hrs the 1980 built PAN flag cement carrier SCII shifted from Fuel Wharf to Laboratory Wharf. IMO: 7813561; 106m; 3,375 GRT. Former Names – INDALO until April 2012 and SIRIOS CEMENT II until November 2017.

At 2230 hrs the 1992 built PAN flag general cargo ship NS HELSE entered Valletta bound to Fuel Wharf. Former Names – HANSE CARRIER until July 1992; HELSE until November 2012; MRW LORELEI until April 2014 and HELSE until March 2017. IMO: 9008586 ; 81m; 1,582 GRT.

Wednesday 9th January, 2019.

At 0940 hrs the 2017 built NLD flag platform supply vessel (PSV) VOS PATIENCE entered Valletta bound to MMH Facilities. IMO: 9742089; 83m ; 3,638 GRT.

At 1015 hrs the 2002 built MLT flag and owned ropax MALITA entered Valletta bound to dyrdock at Palumbo Malta Shipyard Ltd Dock 5.

At 1230 hrs the 2013 built BHS flag offshore support vessel SEABED SUPPORTER shifted from DWQ 4 to Pinto Wharf 1.

At 1408 hrs the 2006 built GIB flag chemical/oil tanker LS JACOBA entered Valletta berthing at Pinto 4 and 5 wharves. IMO: 9334428; 148m; 10,811 GRT.

At 1431 hrs the 2016 built MLT flag tugboat NUNKI entered Valletta towing a small pilot boat AMS ONE alongside assisted by local tugboat LIENI towards Hamilton Wharf at Palumbo Malta Superyachts. She came from Mellitah, Libya.

Thursday 10th January, 2019

All shipping that had to be done due to adverse weather conditions was done in the afternoon.

Friday 11th January, 2019.

At 1702 hrs the 2008 built USA flag crewboat FAST TEAM was secured at Magazine Wharf by local tugboat LIENI after she was discharged as a deck cargo aboard the ship BBC ARIZONA berthed at Dwq 4. IMO : 9477957; 48.78m; 336 GRT.

At 2048 hrs BBC ARIZONA left Valletta from Dwq 4 Wharf.

Saturday 12th January, 2019.

From 0306 to 1628 hrs the 1984 built MOL flag general cargo ship THUNDER was berthed at Fuel Wharf. IMO: 8422010; 83m; 1,559 GRT. Former Names – LANDKIRCHEN until September 1993; PALOMA until 1996; PALOMA I until December 1997 and SANDFELD until April 2004.

From 0409 to 1041 hrs the 2001 built ITA flag ro/ro ship ELIANA MARINO was at Valletta berthed at Dwq 4. IMO: 9226360; 174m; 18,265 GRT.

At 0212 hrs the 2013 built NLD flag tug BOMMEL entered Valletta berthing at Wine Wharf for bunkering operations while coming from Egypt. IMO: 9643659; 24.9m; 174 GRT.

At 0618 hrs the 1982 built MOL flag general cargo ship VELA I entered Valletta berthing at Laboratory Wharf South 2. IMO : 8104539; 88m; 1,939 GRT She had 9 former names.

At 0819 hrs the 2009 built MLT flag asphalt/bitumen tanker STARPOWER entered Valletta berthing at MMH Facilities. IMO: 9546150; 102m; 3,726 GRT. Former Name – LONG ZHOU (Chinese) until August 2016.

At 1045 hrs the 1990 built PAN flag livestock carrier HOLSTEIN EXPRESS left Valletta bound to Koper, Slovenia from Palumbo Malta Shipyard Ltd.

At 1345 hrs the United States Navy San Antonio Class amphibious transport dock ship USS ARLINGTON LPD 24 entered Valletta assisted by 3 local tugs MARI, SEA SALVOR and SPINOLA with AFM Protector Class OPV P 52 as escort berthing at Pinto 4 and 5 wharves.
