The Danish built vehicle carrier NEPTUNE OLYMPIC was one of the Greek Neptune Lines ships that used to call at Valletta, Malta.

Entering Valletta back on 26th June 2001.

She was built in 1984 by Frederikshavn Vaerft A/S in Frederikshavn, Denmark as the ro/ro vessel MERCANDIAN PRINCE II for Mercandia Lines, Danmark until January 1988, renamed FERRYMAR I trading until June 1991; FERRYMAR until 1992 and MERCANDIAN PRINCE II again until December 1994.

Entering Valletta, Malta back on 30th March, 2007.

She was 131.3m long with 19.4m beam and maximum draught of 6.2 m. Homeported at Valletta (MLT) with callsign as 9HAZ6. Car Capacity was 1,026 cars while she could carry a maximum of 35 trailers (12metres).

Off Valletta, Malta back to 30th December, 2008.

In March 2009 she was sold to Al Makrani Shipping & Marine Cargo of Dubai, United Arab Emirates and renamed AL SALMY 5 reflagged from Malta to Panama.
