On Saturday 16th January, 2021 around 1350 hrs the 1995 built vehicle carrier SEA AMAZON H was spotted underway to Tarragona, Spain after completing uplifting bunkers at Bunkering Area 4.

She was built in Japan by Shin Kochi Heavy Industries at Kochi as YUTOKU MARU trading until January 2004, RoRo HIDAKA trading for 11 months until December 2004 when she was bought by Mitsui OSK Lines and renamed as JASMINE ACE. In April 2010 she was bought by her present owners and renamed as SEA AMAZON. In fact we saw her at Valletta in MOL Colours with her name back to 8th June, 2010 –





And from November 2010 she was in full MCCL Colours –




She’s homeported at Valletta (MLT Flag) while she has a deadweight (dwt) of 4,910 tons. Back to May 2012 she was spotted at Malta Freeport Terminal 1, Marsaxlokk harbour, Malta.



She’s 134 metres long with 22 metres as beam, powered by 1 MAN Diesel Engine with service speed of 19.5 knots. She has the capacity of 750 CEU’s or 76 trailers plus 350 CEUs. She has 2 ramps – a quarter side ramp and port side alongside ramp.


Since Q 4 of 2020 she was renamed as SEA AMAZON H.
