On Monday 15th March, 2021 around 0740 hrs the 2010 built multi purpose (MPP) ship PLANTIJNGRACHT entered Grand Harbour, Malta on her maiden call bound to berth starboard side alongside at MMH Facilities for yacht discharging/loading operation coming from Palma Di Majorca.




She was built in China by Hudong Zhonghua Shipbuilding Group at Shanghai for Beluga Shipping as BELUGA PREPARATION for few months until September 2010 when she was renamed as BELUGA SHANGHAI trading until August, 2011. In March 2011 Beluga Shipping filed for bankruptcy and the shareholder Oaktree Capital Management subsequently founded a new heavy lift shipping company with part of the Beluga Fleet and named it as Hansa Heavy Lift and all ships were named started as HHL. In fact the vessel was renamed as HHL HONG KONG trading until 2014. She was renamed as HONG trading for a year where she was renamed as INDUSTRIAL GUIDE from 2015 to 2020. Then she was renamed as ST. PAULI and finally to PLANTIJNGRACHT on Thursday 15th October 2020.





She’s known as P2 – 1400 type vessel and with her acquisition the Spliethoff Group added the ninth P Type Vessel in the fleet. She has 2 holds and a combined crane capacity of 1,400 mt.






First to discharge was the sailing yacht PACIFIC WAVE.
On completion there was the loading of the Azimut 60 Flybridge pleasure yacht CLUB B homeported in Valletta (MLT Flag).





After the lunch break preparations were done including hot works for discharging the 44 metre sailing yacht MES AMIS and collecting Sevenstar Materials.
Then on Tuesday 16th March, 2021 it was the turn to discharge the 2007 built sailing yacht MES AMIS but due to strong wind and crew was arriving the next day, discharging was postponed,
Wednesday 17th March, 2021 all was clear and discharging of the MES AMIS happened in a safely manner with cranes lifting 266 tons and by 1130 hrs she was afloat.




After lunch time it was the time to discharge the 2016 built Ferretti 32.95 metres yacht ARES lifted by 2 cranes onto MMH Facilities and around 2300 hrs all operation was done.
After completion of hot works, lashing and clearing of deck of the vessel was done she left to Castellon, Spain on Thursday 18th March, 2021 around 1600 hrs.
