The German built 104.85 metres long (loa) superyacht LADY MOURA was spotted again last year at Malta. She was the ninth largest private yacht when she was launched in 1990,  originally owned by Saudi billionaire Dr. Nasser Al-Rashid, born in 1939 which reportedly costed over US$200M to build her. In March 1987 Al-Rashid was one of the guests at a state banquet hosted by Queen Elizabeth II for King Fahd at Buckingham Palace.

The name LADY MOURA  has a special meaning. The MOU stands for Lebanese National Mouna Ayoub, now former wife of the billionaire, Dr. Nasser al-Rashid. The RA comes from the billionaire’s surname.

During the late 90’s and early 2000’s she used to be seen frequently including with a Sikorsky S 76 helicopter embarked (2 different serials). Even former King of Spain JUAN CARLOS I and former US President GEORGE BUSH and his wife Barbara are said to have landed on the yacht’s helicopter pad .

During June 2023 she was seen at Palumbo Malta Superyachts Facilities (PSY) at French Creek, Grand Harbour.

Maximum speed is of 22 knots while her cruising speed is 2 knots less powered by 2 x Deutz-MWM diesel engines. She can accommodate up to 30 guests, with 61 crew members.

She carries a number of tenders and toys, including a limousine tender, large Boston Whaler with 6 outboards named MR. MOURA , waterski boat and landing craft, all of which are stowed midships behind hydraulic doors.

A rare special highlight is the lettering LADY MOURA on her hull – each letter is covered in 24-carat gold and is said to cost a proud € 12,000.
