The 193.01ft /58.83m expedition yacht SEAWOLF was built in 1957 by J. & K. Smits Scheepswerven as the ocean going tug CLYDE for L Smit & Co Internationale Sleepdienst and she’s a sister ship of the Maassluis based museum tug ELBE.
She sailed with the original name CLYDE until 1973, rebuilt to salvage tug and renamed SMIT SALVOR registered at Rotterdam (NLD flag) until 1976. During August 1978 she was sold to Loucas G. Matsas & Sons at Piraeus, Greece and renamed MATSAS SALVOR homeported at Piraeus (GRC flag). During 1990 she finished laid up at Perama, Greece.
During December of 1990 she was sold to Wolfgang Erich Anton Olszewski at Hamburg Germany and renamed SEAWOLFE with DEU flag, homeported at Hamburg) and was used as yacht and tug, stationed mostly in Fort de France, Martinique.
In 1997 she was renamed CLYDE by Blue Wolf Ltd, Malta and rebuild into a yacht and during 2002 she was heavily damaged in a collision with a Ro/Ro vessel. In 2004 she was renamed SEA WOLFE C and in 2006 she was renamed DOLCE FAR NIENTE by Orchard Technologies Ltd., Fort Lauderdale, USA of which she traded until February 2008 when she was renamed SEAWOLF.
She was last refitted in 2016 and the sophisticated exterior design and engineering are the work of DBR Huisman. Her exterior is styled by the DBR Huisman team who are also responsible for the entire engineering package. SEAWOLF’s interior layout sleeps up to 12 guests in 6 rooms, including a master suite, 1 VIP stateroom, 2 double cabins and 2 twin cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 14 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
